MyFitnessPal

MyFitnessPal is one of the most popular food tracking apps out there. You can enter your meals or search for foods using their search function and they’ll let you know just how many calories are in your meal! It’s a calorie counter, food tracker and meal planner all in one. It's available on both iOS and Android.

The free version of MyFitnessPal allows the following:

8700 provides users with the following:

  • Calorie Converter: Convert kilojoules to calories and vice versa.

CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet

This health app provided by the CSIRO started as just a website but has converted to an app for better ease of use. It's advertised as an online 12-week program to help you lose body fat and stay healthy, but recommended to use throughout your journey for its useful features. Available for both iOS and Android, the app is $39.99 per month or $129.99 per year.

  • Food Tracker: Record food, snacks and beverages – automatically tallies food units and kilojoules.

  • Weight Loss Calculator: Set your goals and receive a guide on safe and attainable weight loss.

  • Meal Plans: Scientifically formulated meal plans. Users can preview their upcoming week of meals. Provides a guide for meal plans and access to all the recipes from the Total Wellbeing Diet cookbooks.

  • Weight Loss Tracker: Track and record weight and upload progress photos.

  • Shopping List: Log what grocery items you need for the week.

  • Exercise Plans: PDF exercise plans. 

  • Community Support: Support chat with the total wellbeing diet team and other members.
